Who can go?
You don’t have to be an industry professional and you may not even need a ticket to get into a particular party or other affiliated event during ADE. However, you must be at least 18 years old and, for some clubs, 21 years old to attend.
Experience the city
Because ADE lacks strict schedules and parameters, you’ll have plenty of time to take on unrelated ventures. Amsterdam carries a reputation for the freedom to explore certain vices that aren’t legal in most places. Float your boat, literally, by taking a tour on one of the famous canals. Go to the flower market, filled with the Netherlands’s signature tulips, rent a bike and take a spin through one of the world’s most bike-friendly towns, or eat at one of the city’s amazing culinary spots.
Pop into a pop-up
Pop-up parties, shops, and performances happen all over the ADE Playground in some of the most exciting and unexpected places. You might find yourself at a rooftop event, a secret rave in the Red Light District or jumping onto a pop-up party bus.
Go to a gallery
ADE includes an extensive art program throughout the city’s galleries, showcasing outstanding dance related art exhibitions, shows and installations.
Catch a flick
The film aspect of ADE is not to be missed. Experience red carpet world premieres, enjoy in-depth documentaries on global nightlife and stop into one of the many short films on clubbing capitals around the world.
Tickets and Travel
ADE is a huge international event, meaning most attendees are taking trains through Europe or planes as primary ways of arriving. Most flights will head to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, about 20 minutes outside the city. Travel packages, including tickets and hotel deals, will be available closer to the date of the event.
