Come with an open mind
There are many opportunities to broaden your spiritual being through holistic workshops, yoga, healing and various other channels. Be open to explore outside your normal way of thinking.
Be environmentally aware
Boom encourages participants to consider the environment while at the festival. Compost toilets and other eco-friendly methods are used in order to preserve the beautiful surrounding landscape. This also means no generators, no fires, no pets, no sound systems.
Pack your swimsuit
The lake is a popular place for swimming and chilling out during the daytime and is an excellent opportunity to make new friends.
Children don't need a ticket
Boom encourages a family-friendly environment by allowing children under the age of 12 to enter for free (when accompanied by an adult).
Travel
The festival grounds are located about 250 km (155 mi) from Lisbon Airport (LIS) and 350 km (217 mi) from Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD). There is a charter bus service called the Boom Bus which offers a comfortable and sustainable mode of transport from Lisbon and Madrid Airports directly to the festival and back. The Boom Bus arrives at the festival venue one day before the official gates open, so you can choose the best spot to camp.
Other options include a rail connection to the nearby city of Castelo Branco. From the Castelo Branco train station, there will be a local bus service directly to Boom on the 1st and 2nd days of the festival. If you can't catch the local direct bus to the festival, find a bus to Idanha-a-Nova or share a taxi to the festival.
