Getting There
Jakarta's airport is the Soekarno—Hatta International Airport, with the national airline Garuda Indonesia servicing direct flights from the likes of Amsterdam and London, with Los Angeles added recently.
Lodgings
Hotels are not in short supply in Jakarta, with outposts from the likes Hyatt and Marriott there, if you're happy to splash the cash. For something a little more personal, try the Pesona Guest House which only has three rooms, or the Capsule Hotel, which is a cozy haven for backpackers and travelers.
Over Age/Under Age
The legal drinking age in Indonesia is 21 and it's strictly adhered to onsite. You'll have to show photo ID to get a 21+ wristband before you can buy a splash of moonshine. Sorry, young'uns!
Come for a Day
You don't have to just buy two-day tickets. One-day passes are available, and if you're not very good at planning in advance you can purchase at the venue (if they're still available).
Get Waterproof
Rain season in Indonesia is between October and April, so pack something to keep your underwear dry.
Get a Seat at the (Very, Very) Top Table
VIP Gold tickets are available, which will get you quick entry and access to a whole range of extras like a VIP viewing area. If that's not quite exclusive enough for you, there are VVIP table, which will get you a table (obviously), some bottles of spirits and even your own parking spot.
