Getting There and Around
You can fly right into Niigata Int. Airport from five major airports:
Shin Chitose Airport (Sapporo): Three flights/day by ANA / AIR DO (1hour 15min)
Narita International Airport (Narita): One flight/day by ANA (1hour 5min)
Chubu International Airport (Nagoya): Two flights/day by ANA (1hour)
Itami Airport (Osaka): Nine flights/day by ANA/JAL (1hour 5min)
Fukuoka Airport (Fukuoka):Three flights/day by ANA/JAL/FDA (1hour 30min)
Upon arriving at Niigata Int. Airport, catch a train to Tokamachi Station. You can also get to Tokamachi Station by train from Narita Int. Airport (Tokyo), Haneda Int. Airport (Tokyo), or Kansai Int. Airport (Osaka).

Once you’ve arrived, the best way to travel is by car or train, giving you the flexibility to explore. Plus, many artworks are within walking or biking distance from the train stations.
