Ride in an art car
Learn more about this signature experience, which is a wonderful way to meet new people, on the festival website.
Bring extras
As Nowhere's organizers say, this "is an experiment in creative freedom, participation and cash-free community." Your participation hinges on your willingness to share, and you can share anything from extra pairs of earplugs to eco-friendly soap to fun costumes.
Learn more about the art
Art Tours take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and the guides will tell you everything you want to know about the incredible installations you'll encounter while at Nowhere.
Nowhere is in northern Spain
Between Zaragoza and Lleida. The nearest villages are Castejón de Monegros (12km) and Sariñena (19km); the last 10km of road from both directions is gravel. It’s about 3.5 hours by car from Barcelona and Pamplona, and 4.5 hours from Madrid. There’s a Nowhere shuttle service that picks people up at the Zaragoza train station.
Your best resource
For everything from getting to Nowhere (review the photos so you’ll recognize landmarks along the way) to a very helpful Survival Guide, is available on the official website.
Most people sleep in tents
(a few in RVs or vans), and as at Burning Man, much of the community is built in theme camps. There’s value in trying to align yourself with a barrio early enough so that you can participate in its creation. When you buy a ticket, you won’t receive a physical one, so print yours out and make sure the barcode is visible.
