Listen for free
Primavera is more than just the three-day event—it’s days and in some cases weeks of free concerts, many of them in city parks, leading up to the main event. Make sure you get more than your money’s worth.
Environmental commitment
It makes sense a festival so large would take its environmental impact seriously. Impressively, in 2016, a total of 21.5 tons of light packaging, 3.4 tons of paper and cardboard, 1.8 tons of organic material and 6 tons of glass was collected and recycled by the festival. That figure represents 81% of all the waste generated by the festival. In 2015, the fest collaborated with Turkey’s Ay-Yildiz Project to install five wind turbines in order to generate renewable energy and to offset the carbon emissions generated by the festival that year (180 tons), whilst also contributing to the improvement of the national economy.
