Pack for all weather
Temperatures can fluctuate greatly from daytime highs of around 35 degrees C (95 F), dropping significantly in the night. While water is available for free, it is recommended that you bring enough to supply your campsite.
No open fires are permitted
Due to the natural bush environment and the high fire danger, no open fires are permitted. This includes candles, campfires, barbecues, sparklers, etc. Gas cookers are allowed if installed inside a van or camper. Gas-powered generators are also a fire hazard in the Australian bush so leave those, dirt bikes and e-bikes at home as well.
Don't lose your wristband
If you need to leave the event at any stage you will be required to show your wristband for re-entry.
Tickets
Festival tickets go on sale at the end of October each year and children under the age of 12 are free. A single ticket will give you access for the five day duration (no single day passes are sold). Rainbow Serpent usually sells out quickly every year so you should buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Join the mailing list on the website to receive monthly updates and get an early bird ticket code that allows you to purchase a ticket before they go on sale to the public.
Restrictions
The following items are strictly prohibited: generators, motorised vehicles of any kind, weapons, pets, illicit drugs and glass items such as cups and alcohol bottles. While the festival features loud music it is important to note that personal sound systems are not permitted and will not be allowed on entry or confiscated if found in the campgrounds.
